I’ve been asked a few times for a resource that tells you what you should be aiming for, results-wise in each of the combine drills.

Gil Brandt, from NFL.com has a chart that you can use.  Just click the link below:

What Does the Combine Data Mean?  Depends on Your Position.

Once you’re on the page, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the screen, and you’ll see the chart.

It describes what each drill measures (e.g. explosion, lateral agility/speed, etc.).

It also goes through the times and such that scouts expect to see in each drill, by position.


That should help you get an idea of what scouts want to see at your pro day, or at the Combine.
